Book Review - I Don't Wear SunScreen - Kavipriya Moorthy

Blurb - For Laksha, life is a gift wrapped in red ribbon. But that's all shattered when she falls for a misogamist. His ambivalence and vacillation always keeps her at bay, turning her into a neurotic. She gets betrayed by the most credible, loses her job, feels devastated and dejected as incidents crowd upon her corrupting her naiveté.

Enigmas unfold revealing every glitch. Who will clear her blurred skies? What invigorates her career and life? Will she ever forgive her beloved? And how will Laksha survive?

The story also revolves around her rapport with Pallavi, a childhood friend and the relationship she has with her silver-tongued mom. Focusing on how experiences change perception of little things, this contemporary tale gives a better meaning to friendships, relationships, solitude, pain, compassion and success.

More often than not, Life drags you down to the adversities and thrusts outward to shine. It is your grit that truly matters when you reach rock bottom, and left with no choice other than to pick yourself up and leap forward, however arduous it may be!
My Thoughts -

First of all congrats to the author Kavipriya Moorthy for her debut book “I don’t wear Sunscreen” title itself really catchy one & attract the reader a moment. The plot revolves around the friendship, relationship, betrayal, kept hooked the reader as much as good way and Story have the lots of twists and turns with perfect adrenaline page turner & Narration of the story was applauadable one “BIG” Thumbs up for that Being a debut She done the commendable work. Author didn't make me urged to reach the dictionary for any reference, she used the simple and understandable language in well the manner and reader can follow the pages very easily. Author’s characterization was good and delineated very well done.
Drawbacks –
Amidst plot have the lots of twists & turns, Some turns are predictable & but author come back again with a same unexpected twists. I feel both Strength and weakness of this book was “Twists”.Some printing mistakes are present in the book. Apart from this  book was totally "Perfect!! "
Verdict –
Overall I really enjoyed the whole book. Short & Small book can read in an hours. Really recommended to all book lovers and avid readers. I would like to give 3.25*/5 for the commendable work .Waiting and best wishes for the upcoming ventures.

Ashish Ranjan Interview Author of " Love...will find its way? "

Hi friends!
It’s time for debut author interview. Author
ASHISH RANJAN talks about his writing process, his new novel, and writing advice in our interview. His debut novel, Love...will find its way? , released July 2015 published by frog books.

Tell us some more about your book?

The book is basically aimed for all lovers of today’s world. Let it be one-sided love or both-sided. Let it be lust freak or love-freak. It is aimed for those crazy lovers who can go beyond limits for  achieving their unconditional love. Time and again, we come across with the news of suicide and appalled attacks like throwing acids just because of love issues. This book is aimed for giving a strong message with respect to such cases also. Almost everyone of us pass through a phase in which we have to choose one, love or career. Some proper while few perish. Taking the right decision at right time is the deciding factor in nurturing one’s future. The book is quite biased on the tragedies of a male teen but female teens will also appreciate the matter. In fact, Indian parents will also applaud the limitations of their guardianship which has been  unveiled in few pages of the novel.

How did you come up with the title?

Frankly speaking, it was suggested by one of my friends. She read the draft and then suggested this prominent title. I was totally convinced by her proposal as, I wanted to put a question on the statement, “Love find its way”. Some people believe that true love find its destiny on its own, whereas some people believe that one have to snatch love, if it do not beckons on its own,I wanted the readers to judge the reality.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in Love.. Will find its way?

As such nothing was surprising. Few excerpts are fictional while few are based on true story. I have tried my best to make it as realistic as possible.

What was your favorite chapter or scene to write and why?

Chapter number ten, “The tragedy” is my favorite chapter as it is inspired by a true story.

What authors do you like to read? What book or books have had a strong influence on you or your writing?

I’m not a reading maniac. In fact, I have not read more than five novels, so far. The best one was of course, Chetan sir’s ‘Five point someone’. I like inspiring write-ups and those kinds of novels which give some influential message.

What's next for you? What are you working on now?

It is just a start now. I’m working on my second novel at present. A Plot is all set and in fact, am done with few pages also. It is aimed for those children who are brought up in homes which witness struggles like domestic violence, and financial deficit. It is sauced up with love, friendship and career amidst all such issues. Like this novel, I’m again trying to impart some valuable message to the whole mass.

Do you have any advice to give to aspiring writers?

I would just like to say, “Aim for self-satisfaction, rather than name and fame from the first book itself. If you like writing and it gives you pleasure, don’t stop. Hurdles will come in your way, but you have to continue your effort thinking, why at all you started!"

My Thoughts -

Love… will find its way?  Debut book by Ashish Ranjan. First of all Big thumbs up for the author wrote such a wonderful plot. When I started reading this book I can’t believe this is his debut book because where he kicked off the story itself grabbed the attention of the reader and It leads to easily flip the pages must say totally a ”Perfect-Page-Turner”.Plot revolved around triangular – love story, the importance of friendship, If you beloved someone, he/she rejected your proposal how do you overcome the rejection, how do you accept that heart-breaking  time, These are the stuffs author delineated very well Big Big thumbs up for that. Author’s Narration of story was impeccable & mark-able one as a “Debut” he succeeded in that and also Reader will hooked instantly because he used the simple language & understandable words, as a reader, I don't feel urged to reach dictionary Characterization was good, but I feel could have much better because some characters suddenly enter the story and amidst vanished. The climax was really good words author usages really heart-touching tears can reach the cheeks also author conveyed the intense message for youngsters.

Drawbacks -

Apart from the characterisation Book was really awesome & no more point out here.

Book Review - 3 @ a Time - Diptendu Sekhar Chakraborty

Blurb -
Falling in love is one of the most exquisite feelings that one can experience in their lifespan. But what if while searching for your true soul mate, you end up having that 'exquisite feeling' for three people at the same time. 3 @ a time is the story of Deepankar and his tryst with trust, love, relationship, betrayal and humiliation with 3 girls at the same time along with maintaining his reputation as the wonder boy of his college. Deepankar - Strong, laborious, with a never-say-die attitude while searching for true love ends up in a relation with three girls from his college. Notorious yet dedicated for his deeds at college, Deepankar seeks love from his dream girl who turns out to be homosexual! And then destiny plays its game. And the reason - Girlfriends. But one should never back down and nor did Deepankar, Pooja stood by him in full support. And in the end. It does matter. Will the search for his soul mate be completed after his rendezvous with all the 3 girls? Will Deepankar restore his faith in others or will life throw curve balls at him? Will he be able to maintain his reputation or will be hailed as a onetime wonder? 'Three at a time' tells us not to be complacent on our victories and neither be demotivated on our losses.

My Thought -

First of all congrats to the author for his debut book and Clear blurb indicated the complete “campus tale”. I had spent my last few nights for this book. Author used clean and understandable language and story conveying approach was commendable and notable one, Because being a debut he "succeeded" . Each and every scenario author described was good with lots of humors ,toying, campus politics, desire about the career  also I really enjoyed while reading. Characterization delineated well I like the Main Protagonist Deepankar  and pooja role among the whole involved in this story. I felt many characters are crossing the plot little baffle with the names. Coming to the Negative I feel plot was not much “Stronger” amidst author tried his level optimum to hold the reader but unfortunately, tune out.

Drawbacks -

  • Editing and few grammatical faults
  • Baffle in getting the character names
  • I feel plot could have much better & stronger
Verdict -

Overall book was good and nice read. I Hope he will be come back soon with  the rectifiable venture.  I would like to give 3/5 stars to this book.

P.S - I received this book from author for exchange my genuine review.

When Heaven Falls Down - Satyapal Chandra - Book Review

Blurb -

"Why does it happen, always, when we hear the word relationship we think of love only?
Life is beautiful, short and strange as well. Sometimes it treats us more sweetly than we can bear and sometimes it feels so lonely that it hurts more than death.
If life is an account of infinite experiences, then this story is life-not only of one but many others as well.
He is hardworking and practical;
she is sweet, simple and caring.
He had a brutal past, she hadn't. She had a very strange life, he hadn't.
For him she was the best friend of his life, and for her he was her whole life itself. Strange!
Their story is more than romantic, but then every romantic story isn't a love story.
Can unsaid feelings be heard?
Can India ever get rid of the mindsets of communal conflagrations and Love-Jihad?
Can Indian medical Industry ever get clean?
Can revolution bring a change?
From the very sweet days of the past to the horrifying experiences of present, get ready to find out what happens"

My Thoughts -

“When Heaven Falls Down”- I can’t tell it's the just book  To me, it felt it is was a “treasure”. This is not only romantic story but I must to say it is beyond what I had expected. Such a MATURE plot and bold attempt by the author is remarkable. Story started with shocking and horrifying moments and then plot moved like a boat flowing in a stream. Obviously, we are travelling in the boat and we can’t say how the boat is travelling in which direction or which way? Credit goes to author’s narration of the story, we surely can’t predict the next moment. Once you get engaged with the book you can’t put it down. Perfect adrenaline page-turner! Coming to the characterization each and every character was perfectly delineated. None of them went out of the context and you will remember every character. I really liked Akshadha’s Character in the book. She was the protagonist who played crucial role in this plot. I loved the way author expressed her feelings through the words. Each and every word was an eye-opener and impacted me very hard. Ayaan , Mushaib, wajeeha, Shamona, Karthik, Sanjana ,Bablu (Opps! Mr.Com Truise)-these characters will hook you and will keep you holding, to travel in the massive plot. I really admire the Author’s writing style and storytelling that was indeed impeccable. Each and every word is perfectly fitted & suits to the plot. Author used a very understandable language and I felt no urge to reach to dictionary. Appreciations for such a clean & neat convention of the story! Story revolves around the mixture of love and emotions, lust, dark side of medical industry, Communal riot, love-jihad, prostitution and real face of the society which are clearly comprehended and unfolded. Climax was really heart breaking and heart crying. It literally made my tears touch my cheeks .Overall such a wonderful time I spent last few days for reading this tremendous book. Really waiting for the Author’s future work! I recommend this masterpiece to each and every avid reader. Those who are all reading my review PLEASE GO FOR IT!!! I assure you won’t be disappointed after finishing this book. I would like to give 5/5 stars to this phenomenal book.

Book Review - Mistress of Honour - Bhaavna arora

Blurb -

A tale about passionate love and finding your soulmate . . . only to realize you will always come a close second
When Potnis, a captain in the Indian Army, meets Pansy during Operation Blue Star, he knows he has found the love of his life. Their passionate romance leads them to the altar and blossoms into a beautiful child, Rihana.
History repeats itself when Advik, a wayward boy from a broken family, catapults into Rihana’s heart as smoothly as he conquers the skies as an Indian Air Force pilot. What follows is a night of unabashed love, transporting the couple to heavenly bliss. Where will their unbridled love lead them? Will Rihana remain a mistress to Advik, for whom the love for his country comes first, or will she be able to make a place in his heart that is second to none? This heartbreaking saga of love, courage and sacrifice will leave you asking for more.

My Thoughts -

Just a month before I had chance to read her debut book “The deliberate sinner” published by srishti publications Such a wonderful book after that milestone i hear the news from her Facebook page about second book titled by “Mistress of honour” published by penguin. First i have to tell Bhaavna arora ‘s writing style was impeccable & mature and it will give treat to every reader ‘s eyes. I truly admired her writing style. Story revolved around the Indian Army man‘s life. Author clearly described the both Dark and bright side of “Army”, without them protection we can’t live happily hear. They are struggling in border fighting against with suspicious terrorist with faith, power and strength for protecting our country in vice-versa they are also Human Even they had able to fall in the “Love”. In armed force service difficult to balance the relationship they were almost in the state of dilemma. These are all the "theme'' clearly defined through the Potnis and Pansy ‘s Character. Story plot was divided in two parts first half of the book was mainly about Potnis and Pansy & second half was around Rihana and Advik . Author’s characterization and storytelling was flawless and idealistic. Once you engaged with book you can easily flip the pages because of her story narration-timeline and complete page-turner. Story was delineated fully with the mixture of emotions and love, war, missions & operations.

Positives -

The most positive of this book was author's narration and writing style Easy and understandable language it will be keep holding the reader from cover to cover.

Negatives -

The second half of the plot was hurriedly finished i expected more than first half of the plot that was main drawback of this book.

Conclusion -

Overall Great and Good book You won't be disappointed after reading and must to say she deserved again through with this book Sure I will follow her future work .I recommended this book to all and every avid reader. I would like to give 4/5 stars to this book

" If you don't make mistakes, you don't make anything "

Book Review - From Where I See - Ajay Yadav

Blurb -
Ajay meets his childhood friend Shruti on a social network site. He finds her to be struggling with intrapersonal, interpersonal, inter-social and inter-religious conflicts. Eventually the conflicts killed her. Police could solve the case but will it prevent hundreds of Shrutis from getting killed? How long will we aim ‘who’ killed, more important is to find out ‘what’ killed. Till we don’t address this issue and work on it, many Shrutis will keep on getting killed. We need to cure the disease not only the symptoms.
This book is an effort of the author to find the root cause and probable remedies of these conflicts, exploration of hundreds of pertinent questions like “why in one religion it becomes so easy to get volunteers to blow themselves and others for the sake of religion? Does the religion divides or unites? What precipitates extramarital affairs? Does the immature and wrong interpretation of female emancipation the reason for 13 times rise in divorce rates in last 5 years?
It’s not only a book; it’s the path to revolution, it’s a journey towards utopian world. Accepting truth and hypocrisy is the toughest job on this earth. If you feel that you are open minded, have courage to accept truth and have a desire to change the world then be the part of change. Let’s take our first step to build a road to the utopian world.

My Thoughts -

“From Where I See “ Indirectly conveyed the “From Where you see” This Book. The Story started with the mysterious suicide of Shruti childhood friend of Dr.Ajay and then plot moved heavily with debatable. In Schooling we all had studied the history subject but we used to read that only for marks but this book keeps you holding for the What was happened really in the past(None of the teacher not taught me Like this), historical moments & also what is actually happening in the present "Religious activities, women empowerment , lots of ideas and thoughts".These are the subjects are conveyed strongly & reinforced the plot and also I learned lots of essential lessons from this book. Most of the subjects Author discussed in this book was really eye-opener and having intellectual depth and I liked the way he described each & every subject in detailed and must to say Well researched Book. Author’s Language and the way he used was good. I feel Narration of the story was bit slow also chapters are stretched long because author gave the special importance to the Subject that was what he actually want to convey so, Reader have to read slowly. Author Expressed the Heavy and Controversial plot for the path of revolution and journey towards a utopian world . Overall Good book I recommended to those who want to read apart from routine books Go For it! .I would like to give 3/5 Stars to this Massive book.

I had received this book from Author Paradise for exchange the genuine review

Book Review - World's Best Boyfriend - Durjoy Datta

Blurb :

World Worst Best Boyfriend
Hate, is a four letter word.
So is love.
And sometimes, people can't tell the difference.
Dhurv and Aranya spend a good part of their lives trying to figure out why they want to destroy each other, why they hurt each other so deeply. And, why they can't stay away from each other.

The answer is just as difficult each time because all they've wanted is to do the worst, most miserable things to one another.

Yet there is something that tells them: This is not it.

If you want to know the answer to it all, read the book.

My Thoughts :

After completed his " When only love remains and Till the last breath " i comes to this book. " World Best Boyfriend " :-) Very catchy title and pleasant look book cover will hook the reader leads to buy the book. I like the author's narration of the story it keeps the reader holding till you turn the last page of the book. No prologue No epilogue Author straightly enter in to the chapter totally it contains 81 chapters i think this is the first thickest book of him 288 pages. Each and Every characters was perfectly defined and blended easily for the flow of story.Easy language , perfect page turner.Coming to the characters main protagonists of this book Dhruv and aranya. Author portrayed and conveyed very well . I liked the way they hatred each other later they recognized difference between the word "LOVE" and "HATE" actually that is the main theme of this book . Sanchit This is  the only character  keeps you holding the book when you feel bored reading. i really like sanchit character compare to main protagonists. In the whole book i liked the "Dhruv and his father conversation" it really means a lot author narrated that impeccable I feel that is the best part of in this book :) Gripping Story moves like up's&down's also including twists and turns. I felt only one bad "Fuck" word it comes again & again personally i dislike that. Overall i enjoyed reading very well. But compare to the till the last breath this book had not beaten up that. Good read and must read :) happy reading :)

I Like to give 3.25* / 5 :)

Book Review - The Deliberate Sinner By Bhaavna Arora

BLurb :

Rihana is an adventurous and free-spirited girl, until she marries Veer, an eligible bachelor who comes from a wealthy family. While they appear 'happily married', their strong personalities are at odds. Veer, for the most part, is insensitive to Rihana's physical and emotional needs, straining the relationship and leaving her feeling incomplete. Caught between the devil and the deep sea, Rihana has to now decide whether to walk out of her marriage and be a victim of society's ridicule or compromise on her physical needs, which for her are the foundation for a healthy marital bond. Can they work out their differences? Will Veer give her what she desires or push her to do something desperate and scandalous?

My Thought about this book

Clear blurb will lead to read the book. Story will be hooked from the prologue to epilogue. Author’s Story narration was impeccable and characterization was defined clearly. Best part of this book is  author‘s narration style she had narrated the story very well .Writing style also good she used Simple and understandable language. I could not stop myself till I finished in one sit. You can flow to entire pages . Story revolved around the love, sex, betrayal, Emotions, lots of twists & turns with the perfect page turner. Story conveyed very well by author.  Climax was really interesting. As a debut author she deserved in this book. I recommended to those who want light read books. I feel not disappointment after I had finished reading this book .It’s good but not too great. Overall Perfect title suitable for the Story. Go for it!!!

His search for a mentor takes him to the farthest reaches of India, where he encounters a mysterious night market, almost freezes to death on a hike up the Himalayas and finally, finds himself in an ashram in a small drought stricken village in South India where strange things begin to happen to him.

But are Yogis who walk on water, do impossible poses, and live agelessly for 200 years the stuff of fiction or fact? Can a flesh and blood man ever truly achieve nirvana? Will Max penetrate the truth of human suffering, or is enlightenment just a new age illusion?
The SEEKER is both a page turning adventure story and a journey of tremendous inner transformation, a SIDDHARTHA for our generation.

    1) Hi! Sir, First of all Congrats to your new book "The Seeker" Going Very well i saw many positive reviews. What was one of the most surprising things you learned in "The seeker book"?

Thanks so much! The biggest surprise was how the story wrote itself without active authorship from me. For example, I had planned a completely different end but my characters wrote the story themselves and their story was quite different from what me, the author, had planned.

2) How did you begin writing? Do you have a any specific reason or reasons for writing each book?

Yes man, each book has been an exercise of passion. In Johnny, I was very interested in the idea of a man with no nationality, whose family is the world. In The Seeker, from man's relationship with the world, I evolved to probing man's relationship with himself.

3)What are your thoughts on good/bad reviews? Do you respond to them ? how you deal with the bad?

Reviews are gold for an author karthick, all of them! Bad reviews written well truly, truly inspire me to learn more about writing; Good reviews gives me the satisfaction of a job well done.

   4) Which authors do you like to read? What book(s) have had a strong influence on you(r) writing?

Siddhartha has had the strongest influence on my writing.
Authors= Mr. BKS Iyengar is a great inspiration in both his life and writing.

   5) Do you write on a typewriter, Laptop,or longhand?

Laptop for writing; longhand for ideas!

   6) What is your favorite motivational phrase & favorite "quote" ? and Any last thoughts for your readers including me?

          "Forget safety.
Live where you fear to live.
          Destroy your reputation.
          Be notorious"
