Books that I had completed and also posted my ratings same as on Goodreads website

Good Read Challenge 2020 Completed

This is not a review of the book and I only expressing my thoughts and also not going to revealing any story (No Spoilers) Only thing mentioned here whether I enjoyed it or not!

Okay, let's go!

The first book I picked up this year was one of the favorite authors Ravinder Singh's the belated bachelor's party. This book initially started very well and so funny, humor around the characters but it perfectly derailed in the middle of the book and I cannot able to enjoy the part of the story and it's very disappointed even though it's my favorite author book and am looking forward to his next book anyway.

The next book I picked up the modern classic historic Novel Train to Pakistan by Khuswant Singh it's a famous book and story sets at the time of independence of India and partition of India and Pakistan, How's in the small village(Mano Majra) people impacted and reacted the partition. But one thing I felt How's the atrocious events that happened, How people were suffered during that time, Even though the author conveyed his fictional characters still the story is relevant current period too, Dividing the Humans by religion, caste, and all the things and nothing was changed.

The next book was Chanakya Chant by Ashwin Sanghi it is a Historical fiction book. I had taken very long days to complete the book. I don't know why I can't able to connect with the characters and also plot quite disappointed in this book

The next book I picked up was one of the books which hold longtime in my bookshelf The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini Historical fiction book sets in Afghanistan story revolves around the central characters Amir and his life journey throughout the book his childhood friend Hassan also one of the important characters. In this book, we can able to learn another side of the world which happened and how people went through the traumatic incidents & events changed their life. These are the things crafted excellently by the author through his characters also highly recommended and also waiting to read A thousand splendid of suns other work of the same author.

Next book I had completed the most hyped and famous book and also winner good read choice award Alex Michalides 's A Silent Patient I also wrote a detailed review in my blog. This book one for those who have a reading slump definitely this one will be work and recovers from that and Anyway its page-turner holds you till the end.

The next book I picked up The seeker by Karan bajaj Story revolved around the character Max wall street banker how his life turned and seeking spiritualism & went to the Himalayas and meet the peoples in India and How his life transformed and become yogi. This book deals more with Yoga and asanas, Spirituality things which are really interested to read. Good work by the author and looking forward to his next work.

Next book, The Good Daughter by Karin slaughter nominee of the good reads choice award for mystery & thriller in 2017 at that time I bought this book aftermath now only had a chance to read it. It's a really great thriller and the story revolves around the sisters (Charlie and Sam) tragic events that happened during their childhood time and after how their life-changing! is all about the good daughter. Very long book it covers 500+ Pages Little draggy in the middle but one of the great thrillers I had in my reading times.

Next book I picked up one of the famous and Padma Shri award author Amitav Ghosh's The Hungry Tide. Really it will go to the list of my favorite books and I really had a fantastic journey throughout this book especially his writings and language. This is a pure literary works even though personally quite difficult for me to urge dictionary each & every time I thoroughly enjoyed the whole book cover to cover. The author's way of describing every location in the plot as absolutely stunning (Sunderbans, Mangrove Forest, and all) will hook the reader till the end of the book. Surely I will read his other works & all the books on my wishlist.

This Time I picked one of the recent famous historical fiction books " A long petal of the sea by Isabel Allende" I had an Extraordinary journey from 1934-1994. One thing I really liked about the book was the way of imagining the characters because of the prolonged period you will keep changing their looks, Author did an impeccable way of describing the story by telling the historic events along with every character gone through the impacts. This book deals with many things which really happened in that period Spanish civil war, people moved from Spain to Chile, Chile's development by migrating people and also political changes, right and left-wing ideas, socialism, Marxism and all the things perfectly blended to the story. Overall it's a great book.

The last and Final book of the Reading challenge was Preeti Shenoy's When Love came calling. I almost read her previous works and I liked her way of sketching the story and plot. This book not up to the mark plot not much as stronger to engage. Some part of the book is good but I feel something was missing not satisfied in the end anyway it's quick to read the book, not in the bad category.

I completed my good read challenge in the year 2020 and even though limited in numbers I really enjoyed the reading experience. Reading books was always fascinating and getting inside the world of characters & went through their feelings was something unexpressed in the words. My reading always will continue. . .

Book Review : The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

My Thoughts
I picked up this book thanks to Goodread's choice awards this book won in the category of mystery
I don't know this work hyped or not
After reading the synopsis everyone had Keen interest as like me to know about that
I admit that this book is perfect page Turner each page was just pouring and characters involved in this book just help for that flows
Coming to the plot it's good but not great
Author's theme was okay for the mystery but I feel not up to the Mark as like synopsis which intrigued
Main character of this book is silent that's the only thing me kept me hold to read this book
But after know that the answer unfortunately I don't feel much satisfied or wondered
In the mystery category twist and turns are the key to hold the reader as like the character went through but this point quite lagged in this book.
and also little bit predictable not as much by the way of knotting the threads handled.
Yes definitely author worked well to match this but not reached that level we(I) expecting
Anyway
I Must tell that wonderful reading experience author's story telling was fantastic and impeccable but definitely not STORY

Thoughts on :Train to Pakistan: Book

Train to Pakistan
A Famous Hostoric-Fiction Novel Written by Khushwant Singh it was published in the year of 1956
When I had started to read it hits hooked me to turn the pages by his wonderful way of conveying story and especially characters went through this book more detailed way of describing each. It’s Perfect Page-turner thanks to portraying, unfolding of story by his impeccable writing. When Iam reading this book amidst shocked how much people went through the pain, how much they faced the difficulties at the time of independence. I also wonder this is the situation really want by our leaders this question hits me a lot .
In my view even though we got so called freedom some where some people went through the same pain, sorrow by the same people who belongs to the same place .Real Truth is history repeating itself by cycling through the periods with different styles and patterns but pain is always remained same. In some circumstances i felt Unity is strength Proverb always remained in the words.

My thoughts It's All in the Planets by Preeti Shenoy

It's All in the Planets

Blurb :-
Meet Aniket. Twenty-seven, techie, Mr. Average. His best friend is Subbu, a nerd who breathes, thinks and lives code. Aniket cannot believe his luck when he starts dating Trish - a stunning, sexy model, who is totally out of his league. But Trish has a list of things she wants him to work on, beginning with his pot belly and his geekiness.

Then there’s Nidhi, thirty-two, who has quit her corporate job to follow her passion. She is engaged to Manoj, Mr. Perfect - except for one aspect.

Aniket and Nidhi meet on a train, a chance encounter and she agrees to become his ‘relationship coach’. It’s a decision that sets into motion a chain of events that will have a profound impact on the lives of all involved.

One man, two women and the trap called Destiny.

Some things, they say, are all in the planets.

My thoughts It's All in the Planets by Preeti Shenoy :

Yes! This is the second book i read in this year earlier i read Preeti shenoy's "The Secret Wishlist"
and also i shared my thoughts. now, i again came up with her latest book "It's All in the Planets".This book deals around the Mixture of Love, Relationship, Emotions and Sentiment and all the human begins experienced in his so called Life. Preeti's Story narration was impeccable we can sure finished in maximum two-stretch and it is a perfect page turner.I like way of describing the character and also we can easily relate them with each other.I love the way she was delineated the chapter because, she dealt with each main character different prescriptive of view,( we can able to see How She's Thinks and How He Thinks in same situation) and she handled so well, According to story i loved it and also good light-read you can enjoy and i felt climax bit incomplete and  I feel drawback of the book is each chapter begins with horoscope like in magazines but it sounds bogus because it resemblance the character circumstances not in general. But I can say Preeti Shenoy book won't disappointed much because every indian authors came with same Romance -genre But she have the separate bookshelf of own with her something well matured writing.

And she finally says in this book "Believe in Destiny ,Nothing in our hands whatever it Happens for a reason"

I enjoyed it  well :-)
